HISTORY

Supreme School Supply Company - Over Fifty Years and Still Growing

Supreme School Supply Company is a division of Blaschko Enterprise, Inc. and is headquartered in Arcadia, Wisconsin. Below is a brief history of our company and our heritage as part of a leading printing company in the Upper Midwest.

1955
- Harry “HB” Blaschko relocated from Le Center, MN to Arcadia, WI to purchase the local newspaper (the Arcadia News-Leader) and began printing for a local school supply firm (School Form and Supply Company).

1960 - Harry bought out his original partners Albert and Elsie Gauger. The company would continue to print products for School Form and Supply Company.

1967 - Harry opened a division named Supreme School Supply Company. As the company continued to grow, Harry expanded his operation into five different buildings in downtown Arcadia.

1972 - Harry moved the operation to the current 50,000 sq. ft. headquarters in the newly formed Arcadia Industrial Park.

1980 - The remaining assets of School Form and Supply Company were purchased by Blaschko Enterprises, Inc.

1990 - Because of the growing demand for full-color commercial print work, we started the commercial printing division called Supreme Graphics. It was an excellent fit because of our already well-equipped press room and bindery producting products for the Supreme School Supply division.

1992 - Harry turned ownership over to his three sons Chuck, Jim, and Al. Chuck would assume the role of CEO.

2002 - We noticed the industry was changing and customers were in need of short-run full-color printing that could be turned around quickly. With that in mind, we purchased our first Xerox DocuColor 12 digital printer.

2003 - We installed our first Direct-To-Plate device to speed up our pre-press process and improve quality.

2005 - In celebration of our 50th Anniversary, we made a move to greatly enhance our high-quality print production with the addition of a new 6-color press with Aqueous and UV coating capabilities. We also upgraded our digital printing department with a new digital printing press for cost effective, high quality output on low volume print runs.

2006 - Supreme Graphics received it's first of many Graphics Excellence Awards through the Printing Industries of Wisconsin. The company was most recently honored again in April, 2009 with the latest awards from this association.

2007 - We entered the Large Format Printing market with the addition of a 63" Solvent Inkjet printer. These capabilities allow us to produce a variety of banners and related items for our school and education accounts.

Over 50 years later Blaschko Enterprises, Inc., now under it’s second generation of ownership, has grown to include the Arcadia News-Leader, Supreme School Supply, Supreme Graphics, and a retail Office Supply division at the company headquarters. Today the Blaschko Enterprises employs approximately 60 full-time employees. Supreme School Supply salespeople are active across the United States, in addition to a significant portion of company sales being placed via the internet.
